Article Abstract:

Occupiers of buildings in the city of Bristol are mainly concerned about increasing congestion and parking problems, according to a recent survey. Bristol is still seen has having very good communications links, being situated in a strong location on the national road network, and occupiers also value the quality of the local environment. Most occupiers do not feel that the city's drawbacks will be eliminated when the city council converts to unitary authority status.

Plunging into cyberspace

The world wide web is set to have a significant impact on the UK property industry. Property professionals are already becoming aware of the implications of electronic commerce business for their clients. However, the web will not replace the economic role of buildings. Surveyors will have to come to terms with a new commercial climate in which information once available only to specialists is now universally available and inexpensive.
