Reigate and Redhill, England, offer contrasts to each other. Redhill has good railroad links, while Reigate is picturesque. Office lettings have increased in Redhill in summer 1995 and neither town has large spaces left to let. Taylor Woodrow Property Co is starting a new office developmenton a speculative basis. The Belfry is a retail area in Redhill which dominated the retail industry in both towns. There is more than 200,000 sq ft at The Belfry, with nine tenths of this let.

The real estate industry in Guildford, England, has two office markets, with the Guildford Science and research park faring better than central locations. The Guildford Business Park has signed up the Swedish communications concern, Ericsson, on a site it had used before. Ericsson has expanded its operations so is using its previous site as well as a new location. The town center has benefited from public sector clients such as the Government Office of the South East.

Chertsey, England, is the location for a major speculative office real estate development involving Scottish Widows and Welbeck Land. There will be 50,000 sq ft office space with parking for 280 cars at Eastworth House close to Chertsey town center. Meanwhile, Staines is an attractive office location which is close to London and the M25 highway. Office rents have risen in Staines which also offers the river Thames as an additional attraction.
