Secondary pitches still tempt some

Article Abstract:

The slack demand in the UK office property market means that developers and investors are focusing more on location when planning speculative projects. The issue is complicated further by then fact that occupiers are increasingly paying more attention to costs, so that some developers may be tempted to consider secondary locations offering cheaper rents. Several trends indicate that big companies will begin considering new office headquarters outside prime pitches in city centres: many multinational firms are now restructuring and bringing together all subsidiary functions.

Property owners call for flexibility on listed status

Article Abstract:

The British Property Federation is now expected to call on the government to list specific aspects of commercial properties rather than the building as a whole.
