Tennessee continues to be one of the country largest economic power houses by providing a plethora of opportunities for high-technology business enterprises. Since the World War II era, the state has been a primary hub for investors who are eyeing to obtain a considerable share of the high-technology market. Aside from high-speed electronic chips, Tennessee boasts of a number of cutting-edge products including wireless data communications and computer support platforms.

Bringing in the plumbers: how Halifax wooed Cisco

Article Abstract:

Cisco Systems Canada Ltd. has chosen Halifax in Nova Scotia, Canada as the site for the biggest information technology and telecom training laboratory worldwide. The laboratory is one of six built to train Cisco Certified Internetworking Experts. Cisco funded and helped plan the one-year interdisciplinary Master of Engineering in Internetworking program offered by Dalhousie University's DalTech College of Applied Science and Technology.

Through the creation of technology councils, community members have been able to enhance their knowledge, thereby increasing the quality of labor force in the state. The adoption of infrastructure technologies have also helped improve the communication of business enterprises.
