The markets for real estate assets and space: a conceptual framework

Article Abstract:

An analysis of the real estate market is presented. The analysis focuses on the market for real estate space and the market for real estate assets. Data is based on US real estate flows and stocks and applies an analytical framework to test the relationship between space and asset markets. It is shown that macroeconomic and financial variables affect real estate development.

Transactions-driven commercial real estate returns: the panacea to asset allocation models?

Article Abstract:

An analysis of transactions-driven commercial real estate returns is presented. The analysis focuses on the relationship between real estate returns and underpricing. It is shown that transactions driven returns generate more variance than appraisal-based returns. In addition, real estate asset class domination remains despite being set at transactions-driven conditions.

Article Abstract:

An analysis of issues involved in commercial real estate markets is presented. The analysis focuses on quantity estimation and location of national commercial space, space and capital market relationships, macroeconomic factors and commercial property measurement problems, rental markets and corporate ownership of commercial real space.
