Jackie Simon, GRI, Avery-Hess Realtors (Gaithersburg, Maryland) is an advocate for retrofitting apartments for the disabled. Simon's son was paralyzed in a bicycle accident in 1988 and since then, Simon has realized the importance of fair housing. She has developed a continuing education program to teach participants how to accommodate diabled clients.
