Regime sustainability in the Latin Caribbean, 1944-1994
Article Abstract:
The Latin Caribbean has been affected by US intervention and authoritarian political traditions. Economic performance does not appear to affect democratic regime durability, though it has affected authoritarian regime durability. Democracy has been more sustainable where per capita income is higher. Authoritarian regimes which resemble democracies have been more durable.

Interest rate convergence among some selected Caribbean economies
Article Abstract:
The authors find, for selected Caribbean Islands, that banks should increase marketing for deposits. This conclusion is based upon the finding that deposit rates do not converge.
