State, cosmos, and body in the last three centuries B.C

Article Abstract:

Chinese concepts of nature, state and the body are thought to be a single complex as they were taken to be interdependent. The essay examines the salient difference between macrocosm and microcosm in China and Greece. State in China remained unchanged throughout history and the regularities and irregularities of nature were also explored. The Chinese defined body as composed of bones and flesh accompanied by circulation and having various functions.
