A Mark of respect for the financial services customer

Article Abstract:

The UK Money Management Council's Quality Mark initiative is designed to encourage the financial services industry to explain financial issues to ordinary people in a clear and accurate way. This initiative has been launched in response to a report from the Personal Investment Authority indicating that much of the literature produced by financial services companies is confusing. In some cases, it is deliberately misleading. The scheme will initially cover only generic literature, rather than marketing material.

How to avoid depression after a crash

Article Abstract:

Investors must accept that share prices will inevitably decline dramatically from time to time. It is vital to invest only capital in shares, ensuring a reasonable level of savings before consideration is given to stock market speculation. Investors should consider keeping the equivalent of three months' income in an instant access savings account, and may wish to look at safe investments such as interest bearing accounts. It is vital not to panic if share prices do decline dramatically.
