Record company executives are calling on the UK government to create a task-force to boost international copyright agreements. Their new lobby group, British Musical Rights, claims that the ability for music fans to download free music from the Internet could lead to the demise of the UK music industry. In the US, the music industry is already taking action against MP3 sites, which allow music in perfect digital CD quality to be downloaded.
