There have been demonstrations in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, by Serbs who regard the United Nations War Crimes Tribunal in The Hague, Netherlands, as politically biased and anti-Serb. The demonstrators oppose the extradition of former dictator Slobodan Milosevic.

American aircraft launch first carpet-bombing raids on front line

Afghanistan's opposition Northern Alliance is working with US soldiers on the ground to supply information used to plan bomb attacks. B-52 bombers have carpet-bombed the front line north of Kabul, Afghanistan, and a major offensive is due to begin in the area shortly.

Leaders in Kunduz linked to massacres

Article Abstract:

It is thought that up to 20,000 Taliban fighters are trapped inside Kunduz, Afghanistan, which is being besieged by the Northern Alliance. More than 10,000 foreign Taliban volunteers have expressed their determination not to surrender. The Taliban fighters include two senior commanders who have been connected with a large-scale massacre in Yakaolang, Afghanistan.
