Anyone for bug soup?

Article Abstract:

David George Gordon has traveled round the US to publicise his cookbook which includes bugs among its ingredients. Only North America and Europe do not have a tradition of eating bugs, which are seen as delicacies in China, Mexico and some other locations. He sees his bugs as aesthetically appealing and argues that they should be visible, rather than ground up and concealed. He also agues that bugs are delicious once consumers can rid themselves of revulsion. He sees these foods as offering cheap, nutritious ingredients, so likely to become more popular in the future.

Milosevic ready to defy world over poll fraud

Article Abstract:

Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic continues to defy international opinion and street protests by refusing to admit defeat in most large towns and cities in the Nov 1996 municipal elections. His government has rejected almost all of an OSCE report criticising the way in which the elections were handled, and the limited concessions which the government has made do not by any means satisfy the demands of foreign diplomats or street protesters. Opposition officials believe that Milosevic may be attempting to reach a bargain with them.
