Are you being modernised?

Article Abstract:

Extensive investment has been made in refurbishing the Selfridges store on Oxford Street in London, England. The refurbishment was managed by Modernist Vittorio Radice, who wanted to create a fresh, modern store with appeal for both the young and long-standing Selfridges customers. Significant attention has been given to creating a much more unified environment, and there is now an unobstructed view from one side of the store to the other. It is possible that the refurbishment has played a key role in improving the store's financial performance.

It is anticipated that this development will cost over 50 million pounds sterling. The involvement of Lord Rogers, who is committed to preventing urban sprawl, will be controversial.
