What John saw in Yoko

Article Abstract:

Yoko Ono has always had a negative reputation, being regarded as the person who took John Lennon away from the Beatles and therefore prompted that group's collapse. She is less frequently remembered for her art, which caused a great stir in the 1960s. At that time, her Instruction Paintings were seen as innovative, and her idea-images capture the imagination of many viewers. She is still involved with art, but her work now has less impact.

Take me on a flight of fancy

Article Abstract:

New technology has given designers great freedom, but latest designs are in many cases worse than their older counterparts. Modern telephones, for example, are often uncomfortable and fiddly to use, while desktop computers do not seem to have been designed with a human user in mind at all. The main problem is that latest technology has little or nothing to express in visual terms.
