How Bill Clinton neutered the feminist movement
Article Abstract:
Feminists in the US have been remarkably silent about the latest allegations regarding President Bill Clinton's private life. Indeed, some of them have seemed to raise doubts about the reliability of the allegations, and have even gone as far as to deny or excuse Clinton's behaviour. Individual allegations against Clinton are complex and confused, and he seems to have played on this fact to neutralize feminists, who have not even questioned apparently clear indications of his inappropriate behaviour.

Clinton starts his comeback
Article Abstract:
Opinion polls indicate that President Bill Clinton may avoid indictment, with public support for him having been boosted by the fact that independent counsel Kenneth Starr's report contained a great deal of graphic detail. Most Americans feel that the report contained too much detail, and most also regard it as unbalanced. No one individual is now leading the attack on Clinton, and even Newt Gingrich, Speaker of the House, remains cautious.
