In a world based on justice, we must embrace these refugees

What Milosevic is doing is evil but it is no Final Solution

Article Abstract:

Media coverage in the UK of the conflict in Kosovo, Yugoslavia, has likened Serb President Slobodan Milosevic to Adolf Hitler because the ethnic Albanian refugees fleeing Kosovo reminded journalists of the Jews in the Holocaust. It is understandable that the sight of fleeing Albanians may have prompted this connection to be made, but this is in fact a misguided stance. Events currently taking place in Kosovo are undeniably evil, but it is wrong to make a comparison with the Holocaust. Milosevic is ruthless and cunning, but does not seem to wish to eliminate the Albanian race.

Decent, hard-working people: are these Mr Clark's gangsters?

Article Abstract:

Politician Alan Clark has warned that there could be criminal gangs among the ethnic Albanian refugees from Kosovo, Yugoslavia, who are now finding shelter in the UK. It is possible that he has undertaken research that justifies this statement, but direct contact with these refugees indicates that they are just ordinary people who would not consider becoming involved in criminal activity. It is clear that the vast majority merely want to return to their homes in Kosovo, rather than being exiled in another country.
