Dinner ladies from hell prepare for strike-breaking South Korean police

Article Abstract:

There are around 7,000 strikers at a Hyundai car plant in Ulsan, S Korea, including 173 women catering staff who have lost their jobs. Hyundai Motors faces the worst crisis in the Korean economy since that country's civil war. The work force are concerned about their livelihoods. Unemployment has risen to over 8%, and crime and suicide rates are also increasing. Hyundai and associated companies have lost an estimated $1 billion, due to the strike. Labor unions see the crisis as having been created by government and business, while workers are having to pay.
