Dreams in the corridors of power

Article Abstract:

The Serpentine Gallery in London, England, is staging an exhibition of fine art video installations by twins Jane and Louise Wilson. This exhibition covers three video projections, each running in a continuous loop for around six or seven minutes. Each projection is made up of four simultaneous, coordinated video projections. Each video focuses on a former site of power, including the abandoned US air force base at Greenham Common, Berkshire, England.

A hard act to swallow

The 'Video Positive 95' festival, being held over the next month at various locations in Liverpool, UK, is the fourth biennial 'UK Festival of Electronic Arts.' The technology involved in the exhibitions points the way towards the future of video, especially in the area of image manipulation. Visitors will be encouraged to become directly involved with the video images, but in some cases this interactivity will take surprising forms.
