Blair to demand action against fundamentalists

There must be greater international collaboration on anti-terrorist measures, according to UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, reacting to the terrorist attacks in the US. He has played down the suggestion that his strong support for President George Bush will make the UK a target for terrorists.

EU holds summit to discuss pooling resources in fight against terrorism

Article Abstract:

The 15 European Union leaders will meet at an emergency summit to discuss collaboration to fight terrorism. However, not all European countries have shown much enthusiasm for backing the US in a military strike in response to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon.

UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has gained widespread admiration in the US for his efforts to create an international coalition against terrorism in response to the attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. These events have served to strengthen the ties between the US and the UK.
