Article Abstract:

Underground cartoonist Robert Crumb has a small number of loyal admirers in his native US, but has not become particularly well known. However, this has been changed by the release of the documentary film 'Crumb,' which was directed by Terry Zwigoff. The film took several years to complete, and most Hollywood producers felt that it would not be interesting to the general public, as it showed the strange everyday lives of Robert and his brother Charles. The film has now received considerable critical acclaim, and has given a valuable insight into a bizarre family.
