Don't excuse the date rapist - some men just don't like women

Article Abstract:

It seems likely that the number of cases of date rape has actually risen in the UK, rather than there having simply been a rise in the number of cases being reported by women to the police. The rise in the incidence of date rape has been partly fuelled by the significant changes in sexual etiquette that have taken place since the 1970s. Nowadays, men are often very confused about how far women actually want them to go. Furthermore, date rape is being fuelled by the extreme sexualization of popular culture.

Sorry, there's no excuse for men

Article Abstract:

The 'Nineties Man' is expected to be caring and sensitive, but many men still find it hard to deal with women's feelings. Women expect them to share their feelings, but they still often do not know the best way to keep women happy. Men find that they receive mixed and confusing signals from women, and have to battle with the fact that they are on a different emotional wavelength from women.
