Exhumed again: the macabre suicide riddle of God's Banker
Article Abstract:
The body of Italian banker Roberto Calvi, who was found hanging underneath a bridge across the river Thames in London, England, in Jun 1982, is to be exhumed and a fourth autopsy undertaken. Calvi attracted considerable controversy through his associations with Banco Ambrosiano, which collapsed after accumulating debts of almost $1,300 million. The latest autopsy has been prompted by charges of conspiracy to murder Calvi brought in 1997 by magistrates in Rome, Italy, against four men.
