Face to face with the Coroner

Article Abstract:

It is necessary under UK law for an inquest to be held in the case of a sudden or unnatural death. This can be very intimidating for ordinary people who have no previous experience of an inquest. This situation can be made worse by the fact that there is very little information available before the inquest takes place. It is important to be aware that post-mortem details are read out at the inquest, and this means that particularly distressed relatives would be well advised not to attend. It is worth seeking the support of Inquest, which supports people going through the inquest system.

Face the fact: life is lousy

Article Abstract:

Parents whose children suffer from recurring episodes of headlice can feel stigmatised, and sometimes despair of finding an effective cure. Parents should try not to feel embarrassed by this problem, and should simply see headlice as a normal part of childhood. With this approach, both they and their children will feel a lot more relaxed.
