Forget endowments...retired investors need more flexibility

Article Abstract:

An endowment policy savings plan is not necessarily the best way for retired people to save money. This is because endowment savings lack flexibility and carry a life insurance which is not required. It would be better to invest through separate investment trusts, via savings plan schemes. This approach offers a good spread for the investment, and is flexible because the amount contributed can be varied as required. There are many different investment trusts available, and this means that they can be selected to compliment each other.
