The most successful entrepreneurs are those who are really managers, according to Michael Wolff, founder of online content concern Wolff New Media. He now knows that he was very naive to believe venture capitalists who seemed willing to invest in the company without gaining any degree of management control. Wolff eventually lost between $5 million and $7 million, and returned to his old career, writing. He has no immediate plans to set up in business on the Internet again.
