I work for: Goldie

Article Abstract:

Club promoter, DJ, musician and record label owner Goldie has always been very involved in a wide range of projects, according to Meredith Coral, his personal assistant. She became fully involved in his work right from the beginning, and found that there were many different responsibilities. She has now developed a system which allows her to be much more in control of her work. She has a lot of energy, and finds that being with other people who are energetic revives her when necessary.

Meet the new model army

Article Abstract:

Fashion designer Warren Griffiths is using seven of his customers to model his autumn/winter 1997 collection, rather than professional models. The collection, entitled 'Votes for Women,' is aimed at dynamic women, and is inspired by customers' comments about what they require from an outfit. The designs are intended to blur the boundaries between daytime and evening wear, and use a wide range of materials, including glass thread, raffia and silk.

Dawn of the age of fat couture

Article Abstract:

Fashion designer Edmond Boublil has attracted considerable attention in France with his designs for larger women. He is now set to establish a presence in the UK, with a fashion show planned for the end of 1998. He is also to open his first British boutique in London, England, in spring 1999. He believes that larger women should not try to disguise their size, and his designs encourage these women to be daring and take pride in themselves.
