It pays to join the club

Article Abstract:

The NHS Trust Federation, which represents most of the UK's 526 trusts, is launching the Pay Club, which will help pay negotiators by giving them information about NHS wage settlements in other parts of the country. Just over 100 trusts have agreed to participate in the scheme so far, and it is hoped that all trusts will join eventually to make the scheme fully effective. It is hoped in this way to ensure that trusts make a smooth transition to local pay bargaining.
