Underwear retailing

Article Abstract:

The UK's market for women's underwear rose by 19% between 1995 and 2001, driven by high levels of promotional activity and new product development. However, the men's and children's underwear markets tend to be commodity purchases, consequently suffering a flat performance over the period. In total, the underwear market rose by 14% to reach 3.36 billion pounds sterling.
