Labour must put a stop to this cycle of malign intrigue

Article Abstract:

The UK Labour party must recognize that it is not entirely invulnerable, even though it has a large majority and the Conservative party is experiencing serious problems. New Labour is just as vulnerable as any other political party to loss of faith, and this is why the controversy surrounding donations by Geoffrey Robinson to party funds could be so damaging. This scandal will almost certainly not cause Prime Minister Tony Blair to lose the next general election, but it could seriously weaken his position.

Well, haven't you heard? New Labour really is new Britain

Article Abstract:

The UK government can be regarded as an extremely strategic political force. It is in a position to resist all challenges for many years to come as it creates a new political paradigm. New Labour aims to become closely aligned with the mainstream of national life, making a disparate group of its orthodoxies the norm. Prime Minister Tony Blair has been very successful in shedding Labour's traditional image and making it the rightful party of government.
