Learn to out-deal the dealers

Article Abstract:

Accepting a part-exchange deal is not usually the most profitable way of selling a second-hand car. Dealers will only offer the wholesale value of the car, and often use part of the profit which they hope to make on the car which they hope to sell in order to artificially inflate the part-exchange price, thus tempting the buyer to agree to a part-exchange immediately. Sellers should do some careful research, particularly in establishing the true retail price of the new car and the real trade value of the car to be part-exchanged.

A dinosaur that does not deserve to die

Article Abstract:

Luxury saloons are deemed unnecessary in the 90s but the BMW 7-series introduced in 1977 is not expensive. The new generation from 1987 was sporty and well-built. Special equipment such as a trip computer, cruise control and air conditioning were standard. The 732iSE is a quality car and a 1986 version can be bought for 6,750 pounds sterling in 1992. The SE specification also means polished walnut door cappings and alloy wheels, expected features in a luxury model. The 750i is the biggest 7-series, powerful and spacious.

A banger fit for a K1NG

Article Abstract:

Many drivers in the UK are now choosing to purchase a personalised number plate, as the feel that this gets them noticed and makes a strong statement. There are now many private companies which buy up old numbers or act as agents, and the DVLA has been dealing in registration numbers since 1989. It offers various services, including Select Registrations, which allows almost any combination of letters and numbers after the latest registration prefix, and Custom Marks, prefix numbers which had been held back.
