Living life in a dog daze

Article Abstract:

Many people are passionate about dogs, even though owning a dog can sometimes be very frustrating. In many cases, there are many similarities between a dog's characteristics and those of its owner. Indeed, some people find that they can identify very closely with particular breeds of dog. Some dog owners are prepared to go to considerable lengths and great expense to satisfy their dog's strange desires, and seem to love their dog totally. The Crufts dog show is a celebration of the feelings that dogs can give rise to in humans.

She was much more than a wronged woman: she was a verbal acrobat

Article Abstract:

A very strong tension between active and passive characterizes the work of poet Sylvia Plath. She remains extremely influential, even though she died in 1963. Her work is significant for male poets as well as for female poets, and most poets would be very different if it were not for her contribution to the development of modern poetry. She took great risks in poetry, and based her marriage and her life on poetry. She was a nature poet who did not see any differences between nature outside and inside human beings.

The lush rhythms of poetry and pubs

Article Abstract:

Poets are still regarded by many Britons as rather strange people who do not live in the same way as others. Poets are frequently patronised, and they are asked questions about technique which reveal that the questioner has very little idea at all about poetry. However, poetry has recently begun to become extremely popular, and many people are attending poetry readings. The introduction of many prizes for poetry has served to accelerate this trend.
