Playwright Debbie Isitt writes about incidents that affect many women throughout their lives. Her most recent play looks at the power struggle between men and women. In her plays Isitt has focused on the male ego and the effect this may have on women in domestic violence. She won the Theatre Award at Edinburgh for her play on wife battering 'Punch and Judy.' Her most recent play 'You Never Know Who's Out There' takes place in a northern club and explores the male psyche through the five characters.

A man with Parkinson's disease compares his condition to having another person with him constantly who spoils his enjoyment. He names this person Bert, and attributes his actions resulting from his Parkinson's disease to him. The disease is a movement disorder, making simple tasks such as shaving very difficult. After taking a drug called Sinemet, his symptoms are reduced.
