Nanook of the North walks again

Article Abstract:

Snowshoeing has become an extremely popular winter sport in the US. Latest snowshoes make use of advanced technology, and are made from titanium and synthetic polymers. The El Nino weather system is expected to boost the popularity of snowshoeing even further by producing extremely heavy falls of snow in the western states of the US. It is relatively easy to learn the technique required for snowshoeing, and snowshoeing offers an enjoyable physical challenge.

A spot of tic tac, anyone?

Article Abstract:

There are a number of basic techniques that must be mastered by those who wish to learn to snowboard competently. These include using the edge of the board to control your descent and turning the board. It is inevitable that novice snowboarders will fall over a great deal, and it takes some practice before a sequence of turns can be accomplished. Snowboarders must also learn to use drag-lifts, as it is very common for drag-lifts to trip up snowboarders.
