Oliver Reed

Article Abstract:

Actor Oliver Reed had a number of jobs before undertaking National Service as a member of the Medical Corps. After completing National Service, he managed to obtain bit parts and extra work in a number of films. His first major opportunity came with the 1961 horror film 'Curse of the Werewolf.' The 1965 television film 'Monitor' led to him being seen as a serious actor. He began to drink heavily as his fame increased, but was still professional and courteous on film sets.

Charles Korvin

Article Abstract:

Actor Geza Kaiser, known as Charles Korvin, left Hungary in 1929, spending several years working in London, England. He moved to Paris, France, and worked as cinematographer on the 1937 documentary 'Heart of Spain.' He moved to the US in 1940, and made his Broadway debut in 1942 in 'Winter Soldier.' His first film was 'Enter Arsene Lupin,' in 1942. In 1945 he was cast in the popular soap opera 'This Love of Ours.' His best film was 'Berlin Express,' in 1948.

Charles Reading

Article Abstract:

Actor, theatre director, designer and writer Charles Reading acted with local amateur groups before making his professional debut at the Tavistock Little Theatre in London, England. He joined the Stratford-on-Avon Memorial Theatre, and played many leading roles. He designed for opera and ballet productions at Sadlers' Wells, and then moved to the Old Vic to work under Lilian Baylis. One of the most successful television shows he produced was 'Friday's Girl.'
