Morris West is an 80-year-old Christian author who has sold 60 million copies of 26 Christian fiction titles. He does not, however, allow his beliefs to spoil the stories. All his works begin with a moral dilemma, but there is not a lot of religion in them. The author is suffering from a heart condition, and does not expect to live long, but he has still managed to work. He is writing a millennial novel on the Roman Catholic church.

The Edinburgh Book Festival, which is held every second year as part of the Edinburgh Festival, will in 1995 feature more than 200 authors and over 400 events. It will attract many writers, journalists, publishers and public relations consultants. There has been considerable publicity surrounding the festival, and it will be an opportunity for new authors to boost their careers.

Film director Stanley Kubrick is widely admired and has had a great influence on other directors. He is a great visionary, and has a highly original approach to his work. However, this has often placed a great strain on his collaborators, who have found him extremely insensitive. He is currently working on his first film for 10 years, and expectations are therefore very high.
