Article Abstract:

The creation of more complex computer toys may affect the way children form emotional links to the toy particularly those toys which can display different emotional states. The children will learn to respond to the toys limited emotions. Some observers fear certain types of children may be adversely affected by being able to make a relationship with a toy which is much less demanding than their relationships with other people. Children who own a Furby toy seem to be able to differentiate between a real animal and a Furby.

PC 'raped 15-year-old girl high on solvent.'

Article Abstract:

Constable Adam Grice-Roberts has admitted to having sex with an unnamed 15-year-old girl who was in a stupour following solvent abuse after having been told to take her to hospital. He denies rape, stating that she persuaded him to have sex with her. The prosecution has pointed out that the girl was in no state to be able to make a decision of this kind.
