Phoning in sick from the sexual revolution

Article Abstract:

Sex has become a key element of British society, receiving extensive coverage in magazines, on television, in advertisements and in films. However, it seems that more and more women are now opting for celibacy, realising that no sex at all is better than poor quality sex. These women regard sex as being about more than physical need, and realise that they are now in a position to make an informed choice about whether to have sex or not. They have developed a lifestyle of their own, and will only take a partner if he fits in with this lifestyle.

Forever In-ger-land

Article Abstract:

There have been many attempts to dismiss the violent behaviour of English football fans in Marseilles, France, as being nothing to do with football. Great emphasis is being placed on the fact that football is now sophisticated and family-oriented, far removed from its violent, working class origins. However, there are still clear indications of the origins of football from time to time. Furthermore, the yob culture of football is being encouraged by the way in which it is dismissed as harmless and funny by television personalities.

Listen to the Princess's clothes

Article Abstract:

Princess Diana has always used her clothes as a means of communication, with her clothes closely reflecting her state of mind. Some people have even dismissed her as superficial because of her strong interest in fashion. However, she now seems to be taking a more mature approach to her clothes. She is to donate her wedding dress to the Victoria and Albert Museum, and also plans to auction off some of her evening dresses for charity.
