Pregnant and told to go at gunpoint

Article Abstract:

Serb forces are driving ethnic Albanians out of Pristina, Kosovo, Yugoslavia. Many Kosovars have made the difficult and dangerous journey to Albania itself, but have received little assistance there so far. This is because aid agencies assumed that most refugees would choose to head for Macedonia, which is closer. The refugees are enduring very harsh conditions, even though they are now safe from the Serbs, and will have to begin the task of rebuilding their lives.

They showed patriotic movies on TV as bombs rained on the fatherland

Article Abstract:

There have been mixed reactions among residents of Belgrade, Yugoslavia, to Nato air strikes on military targets outside the city. Some people have sought sanctuary in bomb shelters, while others have attempted to carry on with day-to-day life. Some people are defiant, refusing to accept that any part of Kosovo should be given up to the ethnic Albanians, while others are philosophical, believing that the bombing will continue until Kosovo is surrendered.

Trapped in Europe's Great Terror

Article Abstract:

Ethnic Albanians are fleeing Kosovo, Yugoslavia, in large numbers as Serb paramilitaries undertake burnings and killings. Those who fled the old city of Prizren report that the Serbs are seeking to eliminate everything Albanian in a highly organized operation. Serbian forces supported by armour and artillery have instigated a three-pronged attack on a valley in central Kosovo where it is thought that 50,000 ethnic Albanian refugees are sheltering.
