He is sought after by top magazines such as Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone and American Vogue. He was paid $140,000, 93,000 pounds sterling, for a day spent shooting an advertisement for the Mexican beer Sol, fashionable due to drinking it with a slice of lime.

European designers are aiming to reproduce vintage jeans which develop character through use. Ancient equipment is being resurrected to produce old-fashioned cloth with slubs known as ring-spun denim. Modern machinery with wider looms produce high-tech ring-spun.
