Article Abstract:
Some people regard the act of drawing as a rather unpleasant habit, according to artist Ralph Steadman. He realized this for the first time when in a restaurant in Kentucky in 1970 and he had to be rescued from the hostile reaction of other customers by Hunter S. Thompson, with whom he was covering the Kentucky Derby. This experience removed him from the protected environment in which he had been living until them, and made him realize that it was not important whether people understand his work or not.

Music made in Heaven
Article Abstract:
It was a great privilege to be with musician Mick Ronson when he died of liver cancer in Apr 1993, according to fellow musician Ian Hunter. Ronson's death inspired Hunter to compose the album 'Artful Dodger,' and it also played a valuable role in giving him a sense of proportion. He no longer cares very deeply about how his music is received, and is more realistic about his abilities. He still likes talking about Ronson, but does not want anybody to feel that he is trading on Ronson's memory.
