Risk means exactly that

Article Abstract:

The revelation that premature babies may have been exposed to unnecessary risk as a result of experimental ventilator treatment at North Staffordshire Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent, England, has highlighted the problems associated with obtaining consent for experimental medical treatment. The parents of the babies concerned were given the choice of whether to participate in the trial or not, but no parent of a seriously ill premature baby would really have been in a position to make a reasoned decision. This case differs slightly from that of cardiac surgery on babies at Bristol Royal Infirmary, England, where parents were misled about the risks of the surgery.

Learn how to do the rudeness rumba and enjoy the beach

Article Abstract:

Many visitors to the Gambia remain close to the country's beachside hotels, assuming that it is not safe to travel to other parts of the country. In fact, the Gambia is safe and inexpensive. It is not as beautiful as Uganda, and lacks the grandeur of Tanzania or Kenya. However, it is worth trying to gain an insight into real life in the Gambia. Visitors may attract considerable attention from local people, but it is possible to develop an effective technique to deal with this.

Plenty of room at the inn

Article Abstract:

It is anticipated that more than 5 million people will visit Bethlehem, West Bank, in 2000. There will be particularly large numbers of visitors as the 21st century arrives. For this reason, significant efforts are being made to construct tourist accommodation and to make the town more attractive. One of the main projects will be the five-star Jasser Palace hotel, with 250 bedrooms. This will open at the end of 1999 at a cost of $25 million.
