Take the adventurous route to a tax haven

Article Abstract:

Investing offshore is a particularly attractive option for people who pay a high rate of tax and have used up all their Pep and Tessa allowances for the tax year and have no more personal pension investment allowances. It is possible to 'wrap up' a fund investment into single-premium offshore insurance bonds. Offshore investment is also worth considering for people who do not pay tax and wish to avoid the task of reclaiming tax credits on their UK unit trust investments.

Hold on. Haven't we been here before?

Article Abstract:

There have been a number of significant revivalist trends in the UK in 1998. The yo-yo came back into fashion, for example, and young people were introduced to the story of the Titanic through a new film. Some well-known public figures took on very different roles, while others faded into obscurity or died. Some significant new technology was introduced, while some new products proved a great disappointment.
