Several nations under one groove

Article Abstract:

Video-conferencing technology is being increasingly widely used in the entertainment industry. It has a number of attractive applications in this sector, including allowing musicians in different locations to perform together live to international audiences. Multimedia artist and musician Derek Richards has recently co-produced Samhain, a live improvisation involving musicians performing in London, England, and Dublin, Ireland. He now plans to set up a permanent interactive multimedia installation at Propaganda, a night club in London, England.
