Oscar watches the fast lane

Article Abstract:

Unmarked police cars are beginning to use video cameras to collect evidence against motorists committing driving offences and the money is proving very well spent. The proportion of charged drivers pleading not guilty once they have seen the videos has dropped dramatically, saving a considerable amount of police time from being wasted waiting in courts to give evidence. Equipping a car with the facility costs around 6,000 pounds sterling and this money is very quick recouped. Speeding is by far the most common offence recorded.

How to drive a bargain the American way

Article Abstract:

The best-selling car in the US is the Japanese Honda Accord but the most popular vehicle is the Ford F-series pick-up. They are very powerful and have become more civilised. A basic 2.4-litre Dodge Ram 50 pick-up costs 5,500 pounds sterling. A Cadillac Special Touring Sedan costs only 29,000 pounds sterling. State taxes begin at 0.5% and rarely go above 8%. Euromotor Reports explain that greater efficiency is one reason for the low prices in their 'Ludvigsen Car Price Report and Forecast.'
