In Britain, nothing is ever as simple as black and white

Article Abstract:

Racism is still a significant problem in the UK, and in some parts of the country blacks and Asians live in very difficult circumstances. However, a genuine desire to address this problem is now emerging. Racism is a very complex issue, and cannot merely be defined in terms of conflict between black and white. It is now time for the government to modernize the way race has been handled since the mid-20th century. In particular, the concept of multiculturalism must be expanded to cover even the English.
