Summer in the city - or is it the apocalypse?

Article Abstract:

City dwellers in the UK seem to have greater awareness of changes in weather conditions than their rural counterparts. In the city, people live in close proximity to the weather, while those living in the country are more isolated from it. City residents often work or live in tower blocks, from where they gain a very dramatic view of the weather, and cityscapes tend to look very impressive in many different weather conditions. People tend to react strongly to current weather conditions, forgetting that only a short time previously the weather may have been very different.

Invasion of the cyber-Members

Article Abstract:

British politicians have until recently been unwilling to make extensive use of information technology, with only a few of them using e-mail as a way of establishing closer links with their constituents, for example. However, US politicians are now starting to use electronic publishing as a way of disseminating information, and this trend could be followed in the UK. The Treasury now has a World Wide Web page, and other government departments can put information on a Web site which has been in operation since Nov 1994.
