Superdogs that stray fall foul to trackers

Article Abstract:

The annual 'Premier League of Pep Superdogs' published by Virgin Direct details personal equity plans (Peps) that underperform average returns for their respective sectors over three consecutive three-year periods. Virgin Direct believes that few Pep managers can consistently outperform a tracker fund following the All Share Index. In contrast, Fidelity indicates that its Growth & Income and Income Plus Peps would both have outperformed Virgin's Tracker Pep since summer 1997.

Hooliganism most foul

Article Abstract:

There has been extensive media coverage of recent violence incidents at football matches. However, this type of hooliganism has in fact become much less common over recent years, while social violence on the streets outside football grounds has continued to rise, although these incidents are rarely reported. This trend must be given serious consideration by the Football Association in its preparations for the European Championships to be held in the UK in summer 1996.

A long-suffering survivor of British hooliganism

Article Abstract:

The port of Cadiz, Spain, still presents many reminders of its turbulent past. These include small turrets in the wall-top promenade. There are three attractive Renaissance gardens, while the old town has many narrow streets and alleyways. There are also attractive squares, including the Plaza de Espana, which has a large stone Monument to the Constitution. Other attractions include the Torre Tavira, the city's tallest building.
