The Prince, the press and privacy laws

Article Abstract:

Charles, Prince of Wales, is the subject of a new book, 'Charles: Victim or Villain' by Penny Junor. There have been calls for more control of the media since the book is bing serialized by the Mail on Sunday newspaper. The public is curious about the children of Charles, who are in line for the throne. The royal family should make a distinction between harmless reporting, and reporting that is intrusive. There is also a need for the media to be independent, rather than acting as a mouthpiece for the royal family.
