Campuses divided as anti-war lobby grows

There is growing opposition in the US and other countries to planned US military action in retaliation for the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. Large numbers of students held anti-war protests on more than 100 campuses, and many more demonstrations are planned.

The relatives of those are missing following the terrorist attack on the World Trade Centre in New York, NY, must now decide whether to abandon hope and obtain a death certificate. Some cannot yet consider the possibility that their relative will never return.

Operation Swift Freedom has placed troops from the US Marine Corps on the ground in Afghanistan. They have successfully secured the airstrip known as Dolangi, south of Kandahar, Afghanistan, but are aware that they further challenges, including the Taliban stronghold of Kandahar.
