The crude words used to woo ignorant voters

Article Abstract:

Most voters in the UK do not like to acknowledge that they may be influenced by political advertising. This is particularly the case because political advertising is so unsophisticated compared with other forms of advertising. However, political advertising is only intended to have an impact on a very small number of people, as most people have already decided how they will vote at the forthcoming general election. Poster advertising by political parties is particularly aimed at people who have no interest in politics at all, as they cannot avoid seeing such advertising.

Stop whingeing and stitch that bra

Article Abstract:

Some observers believe that women are now taking jobs away from men, with the number of women employees being higher than the number of male employees in 25 regions in the UK. However, the number of women in full time employment has in fact remained stable. Many more women work, but usually only in low-paid, part-time jobs. Most women still depend on men for their financial survival, and have little prospect of earning a reasonable wage. However, going out to work does give women self-respect, and men will now have to accept this trend.

It's working, women

Article Abstract:

There is a very high level of employment of women in the UK, with more than 70% of women now going out to work. This has led some observers, especially men, to claim that working women are neglecting family life. Women are still a long way from being equal with men in the workplace, with most being in low paid employment, often working only part time, and with little prospect of career progression. There is still a very worrying lack of women in top posts in business and in the civil service.
